The protocol states that any "failure or refusal to comply" may subject players and staff in Tiers 1 and 2 to disciplinary action by either the league or individual teams, up to and including warnings, fines and/or suspensions. Anyone who is found to be noncompliant may also have to go through educational sessions on the importance of following the protocols and how they can protect both themselves and others.

It's the first of four preseason games on the schedule for Los Angeles, the most the NBA allows. The Lakers will play the Clippers again in an exhibition game Sunday and then go on the road for games against the Phoenix Suns on Dec. 16 and 18.
It is too early to say. The NBA isn't even releasing the full schedule yet, so there isn't any formal plan for how the playoffs might look. There is built-in flexibility for how the NBA is planning to approach the season, and while a playoff bubble could be a possibility, if needed, the hope for the league would be for the postseason to be as "normal" as possible, including fans in the arenas.
